          In more recent years, games have become one of the most easily accessible forms of media on the internet, some providing interactive storytelling that enables players to be able to experience everything through a character’s eyes. The reasons behind why we decided to pursue the development of RE//Connect is because we place a lot of importance on the visibility of the issues regarding AI usage and an individual’s privacy. Due to the rapid developments in AI, it has made it more accessible and people tend to know even less about its risks in the process, since this technology is relatively recent development, there isn’t enough accessible information about its risks.

Why we’re pursuing this project

          The topic the project aims to give light to is important because of the constant and immediate growth of AI. Since artificial intelligence is relatively new, there is a lack of information and transparency as well as information about the potential risks it can have to both the individual who uses it and their information . With this rapid growth, Artificial Intelligence becomes easier to talk to and more “human-like” which can lead vulnerable individuals to open up and share information to it without knowing the risks.

         The game and site mainly focuses on spreading awareness and information about these risks and how it can affect an individual. The game serves as an example or simulation of what could happen if an individual is extremely dependent on an AI chatbot. The site functions as a central hub where users can access information about the topic as well as the game.
